At Salterhebble Junior and Infant School, nurture and knowledge go hand in hand

Children, staff, governors and parents are all involved in ensuring that our school is a welcoming, stimulating, safe and happy place to be.

We are an inclusive school where everyone is valued. All pupils are given a wealth of opportunities and experiences within a broad and balanced curriculum, to develop enquiring minds and the desire and skills to learn. Children are encouraged, challenged and supported both academically and socially, in the hope of them achieving their full potential.

We aim to create an environment in which high academic and behavioural standards are set and met. Children are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour to enable them to become independent, confident and responsible citizens with a sense of belonging. The achievement of personal, physical, moral, social and spiritual development is implicit in all that we do.

Parents are encouraged to share in their children’s education and we actively seek mutually supportive community involvement.
