Salterhebble Sightseeing Safari
To mark Children’s Mental Health Week, Mrs Wood and I would like to launch a challenge to get us all moving! Physical activity has huge potential to enhance our well-being. Even a short burst of 10 minutes' brisk walking increases our mental alertness, energy and positive mood. Participation in regular physical activity can increase our self-esteem and can reduce stress and anxiety.
Therefore, we are launching Salterhebble’s Sightseeing Safari! We are challenging all members of the school community to record how far they walk/cycle/scoot each week. We will collect the totals to see how far we can travel around the world! On our journey, we will visit famous cities, exploring famous landmarks. Our target during this first week is to get to London, which means that collectively we need to actively travel 210 miles…. we can do it!
We would like you to use the link below to submit your distance each week:
Please can we ask that the form is submitted by 12:30 each Thursday, as we will record a video each week to share our progress.
Come on Salterhebble, Let’s Get Moving!
